I get beat out on so many buy it now that I am convinced there must be someone reloading and reloading their browser and waiting for auctions to post. Is there a set time schedule when ebay launches a new list of auctions into the system? Also, is there any software out there that will search through ebay for but it now auctions and pull those out only? Thanks

A couple of months ago, eBay said they would implement a method to be able to search for Buy-It-Now items. They haven't yet.

You are possibly searching the title w/description database, while others are searching for title only. The title only database is updated much more often.

I believe if you browse, instead of doing a search you will see auctions sooner.

I think auctions are avalible almost immediatly via browse, but can be delayed via searches. On bad days the delay can be 24 hours.

When I am on the prowl for one particular item I start at "new today" under the catagories I think it will be under.
It's the only way. Search is painful.
I also try versions of an item that a seller might use to describe an item they don't know they have...sometimes it sits there with nary a bid.
Good Luck!

Capriole, you're completely right! It's amazing how people either don't take the time to find out about their product or are simply clueless about what it is. You can make a real killing sometimes!

Without eBay, I might have a real life...
