made. LOL I just listed an old lp record that I wanted to start at 3.95. I listed it for 395.00! Cost me 3.30 to list the stinking thing. Yes, I should have caught the mistake before I submitted but didn't because I was in too much of a hurry I guess. Cost me 1.00 to buy it, then 3.30, then another .30 to relist it or, 4.60 total into it. I'll be lucky if I make a dime on it.
Wish me luck!
But seriously, eBay should have a provision for this.

Are you going to ask them for a refund if the record happens to sell for $395.00 ??
Good luck (with the sale that is)

Well, it can't hurt to ask for a refund. They'll probably say no but I'll ask anyway.
Anyone know the email address of what department I should contact?
Thanks

Write to Ebay, explain the error. I had the same thing happen to me. I hurried and closed the auction, of course. They credited my account for the listing fee of the high dollar goof up I made. The main thing is to explain what happened, and tell them you have relisted already. Give the Item numbers for both.

I listed an item accidentally as a dutch auction (I only had one). When I realized what I had done, I cancelled and re-submitted the auction. I wrote to eBay explaining what happened, included the item numbers in question, and asked for a refund of the listing fee for the dutch auction mistake. I received the credit with no hassle.
I believe the email address I used was [email protected], but I'm not 100% sure.

I have made all of the mistakes mentioned, and more.....sometimes my fault, sometimes not. In every case I wrote to ebay giving them the auction #'s and an explanation. In every single case I got a very polite email from them, telling me they would be crediting my account and that it would take 7 - 10 days for the credit to show up.
Never once did they refuse to credit my account. A coupla times I expected it for dumb things I did....but they were very understanding.

I have had them credit my account three times when mistakes happened. I did close the auction as soon as the mistake was made and relist it correctly and sent them both auction numbers so they could verify if they wanted. They were happy to credit my account. Never a problem.Had my credit within 24 hours. I have even had them give me my final value fees after the 45 day cut off for filing the NPB. I don't know why people complain so much about that aspect of Ebay as I have never had them turn down a request.

The official way to request credit for such things:
Click on HELP | Billing | Contact Customer Support
Select Billing | How can I receive credit for insertion fees
Click Continue then "I have tried instant help and still want to contact support". Include the auction number and reason you ended it early.

Select Billing, then explain what happended.
Billing has always refunded my listing fees when something like that has happened.
