I have 2 emails linked to my PayPal account, one from each of my eBay ID's. Usually when someone would send me a payment I would get the notification email at my main PayPal email, irregardless of which email it was sent to. Now I'm getting notifications at the second email AND the first email depending on where the person has sent the money. I got two of them yesterday. I was really surprised to check my Yahoo account and find them in there as the notices always went to my main email.

I have two email addy's registered with PP in case I develope mail problems on my primary (which for some unknown reason has happened 3 times in the last 4 months). I did this to make by buyers feel safer if I suddenly emailed them from one email address to send payment to another email address.
Anyway, to the point...Nobody has every sent a payment to my backup address, but in the past week, I have received 1 PayPal notice to my secondary email address and all the others to my primary.
I couldn't figure out why. The only email address this buyer had been given by me was for my primary. She should not have even known my secondary.
I went and checked PP to see if I had somehow switch my default, but it's still on my primary. So I don't know why this happened.

I think one reason they made that change was when the buyer sent payment to a secondary address such as [email protected] they could be informed that they had paid [email protected]. The results in some cases were instant panic thinking they had sent email to the wrong person.
Another change I appreciated is that the history has more catagories. You can look at just the debit card withdrawals. That was one change I had asked for. I wanted to see my debit card payments separate from my email payments.

OH YES! I have noticed it. PayPal in their infinate wisdom, has made yet another policy change without warning. It is going to make a major mess for me. For more info on their new policy, log into your PayPal account and click on "email addresses" on the left hand side of the page.

I'm actually happy with that change, as before I had a LOT of people emailing me back in a panic saying "I just sent a PayPal payment to [email protected] but it showed up as [email protected]". Several people had even canceled their payments because they thought it went to the wrong person.
And I noticed the debit card history as well, which I also like.
I wasn't complaining, I just wondered if anyone else had noticed it

I noticed this. I now get payments in two different email address. I liked it better when it went to only one address.
