Hi everybody, I read this board alot, and I usually have all of my questions answered just by reading through the posts I haven't seen the answer to this one yet though and I'd appreciate any insight. I just a used Billpoint E-check to pay for a BIN, and while I've used their service before, I've never their e-check's. They want an awful lot of info; with checking account number and social security # or driver's license# being the scariest. I guess they need this stuff to process an E-check but is it safe? I really felt uncomfortable giving them all of it. Does anyone know just how secure all of this is?
Thank you!

while I haven't used the e-check feature as a buyer, I HAVE accepted them as a seller...
I don't see any of the financial info people enter...
I'm just informed that the person has paid "X" amount by e-check...
it generally takes 5 days to clear...
the info you provide is no less invasive than walking into a store and writing a check or using a credit card, IMO...
relax and wait for it to clear and keep in touch with your seller until the item is in your hot little hands...
