I had a buyer end an auction with BIN January 24. I e-mailed her several times, but did not get a response. Pulled her contact info, and she called me before I called her. Said her kids must have deleted the e-mails, she would pay by Paypal in a day or two, she was waiting for money to come in from some auctions she had sold. I have always tried to be a nice guy, offer first class and priority, and list postage amounts on the auction. She paypaled for first class mail(a month after EOA) Today I get a note from Paypal that she is claiming to have never received the item. She didn't contact me, she went straight to them. Because it was sent first class, I don't have any proof of mailing other than my PO receipt. We're only talking about $12, but I'm pretty ticked. She is the only person I've ever had pull anything like this, but she has 300+ feedbacks with no negs. So from now on, should I refuse to ship w/o a tracking number? Most of my items are small, and can be shipped first class for less than $1.50, so most people opt for that. Or should I just write her off as a bad apple, and cross my fingers that it doesn't happen again?

Sorry about the pain in the rear that found your auctions!
I would definately just write it off. (Knock on wood) In over 500 transactions, I personally have never had a package get lost or anyone try to say they didn't get it.
I would just do what you can to make her happy and forget about it.

I wouldn't refund any money until you go through the Post Office search procedure. You can initiate this even though there was no tracking number. She will have to sign a sworn statement that she didn't receive the package---a process that might result in the package being found, if you know what I mean.

Hmm, Sounds like she is pulling a fast one on you.She will not ask you for a refund becouse she will do a chargeback . Thats why I will not use pay pal.
