Since using Vrane's feedback tool to check negs/neutrals (something I was often too lazy to do for those whose percentages seemed average or better) I've seen some negs or neutrals rebutted with a link to a whole web page of info on the transaction. Is this "legal"? Is this something any of you do? I looked at a couple(nosiness & because I'd never seen it done before)and they seemed to be serious cases of "methinks thou dost protest too much" and were a real turn off IMO! Do any of you do this? For what purpose? Only mega dollar items? The ones I happened to see weren't for high ticket items...they seemed to be for folks who wanted to leave feedback before they had calmed down and there wasn't enough spaces for a big rant so they made a page!

Not fraidykat anywhere else!

The rebuttals linked to a web page aren't allowed. The simple reason is you can change the web page at your whim.

I've seen a lot of classless rebuttals. There are also some that speak highly of the seller too. My favorite:

I regret I was unable to satisfy this buyer

When a seller has great feedback and 1 negative with that as the rebuttal it makes the buyer look like a hardcase.

Uaru - love that one too! I agree that many of the rebuttals I've seen tend to either show a serious case of "foot in mouth disease" or reflect more poorly on the person leaving them than on the "nonperformer"!

I completely agree!

Comments that are Brief, Factual and Sincere... whether left as Feedback or Follow Up / Rebuttal - is definitely the way to go.
