I am just starting. I am trying to make a full time income. I actually have one employee. I made $2000 profit the second week. I hope it stays up. I have been doing the same thing every day but today I noticed that some jerk put up 40 featured dutch auctions in my catagory selling things at an obvious loss to get feedback. I went from selling 40 items a day to 6. I hope this is just a fluke. I really don't know how people find me with that going on.

"my" category ? gee maybe I should request my own category too just kidding. don't know what you aree selling but perhaps this guy got them at a very cut rate. maybe off a truck wreck. you can get those salvage pallets for nothing regardless of whats on them. any ways he will probbaly run out of them soon and leave you alone. Lots of luck !

From what I've seen on these boards, bidding is down all over. Could be the tax season, could be that nicer weather is arriving and people aren't stuck in the house any more, could be something I saw on the news today - 60% of the people polled felt a recession was on the way.

Well I found out the deal is he is using handeling for his profit. He is actually selling them for more than I paid for mine. He also says you don't know actually what brand you are getting he just lists a large number of good brand names and says that you will get one of those. I turned him in but Ebay just ignores those things I think.
This is off the subject but I think Ebay really needs to be sued or investagated for ignoreing obvious criminal activity. Ebay is no different than a Swap Meet or Flea Market. Everybody knows that is where you go to get knok offs and stolen goods. It would be so easy to launder money and fence stolen goods on Ebay.

I have found it is wise to diversify, you never know when someone is going to dump a bunch of product in one category, or try to undercut you, I also look for things nobody else is selling. I sell mostly model trains and model kits, there are so many different types that it is impossible for anyone to sell everything. Sales keep getting better for me each month, I've been selling over 2 years now, and things are better now than ever. I have no seriuos complaints with E-bay right now.
The only difficulty I've had lately is leaving Auction Watch and going back to hosting photos with my internet provider again, kept me busy last week!!!At least my images down load faster now and I had my best sales week ever!!! I Refuse to let folks nickel & dime my hard work and profits away.
