Ok It's time for all of the thousands of AW sellers who are staying with AW to stand up and be counted! Raise you hand high!If you would like, you could leave a BRIEF reason why you are staying and how it will help with your ebay auctions.

Hi Kelly, I'm still here. I'm staying because for me it is the easiest thing to do. I don't like the FVF but I'll live with it. I like what AW has to offer and don't mind paying for services I receive.

I signed up to stay as well. I use I like the service and find it simplifies my ebay life. I don't mind paying for services that I use and feel that the months I used it for free were a bonus.

I stayed. I looked at other programs, but found nothing that I really liked. Maybe I'm just lazy and didn't really want to use a new program. I'm just not sure if I choose that correct plan, time will only tell.

I am staying. I like the convenience that AW affords me in scheduling auctions in advance as well as the picture hosting service. I am, however, at my limit of nickels and dimes that I want to pay. I have decided that I will not try any more "free" services that will undoubtedly charge a fee in the future. I am willing to pay eBay, AW and eBud/Auctiva Manager. That is all I can afford. Period.

We are staying too!! We have over a thousand images in AW plus inventory of items that goes on for pages and pages. That, coupled with the fact that we really like AW (we use every service they offer) made us cough up the $200 and kick in a nickel per launch. Not free but definitely worth it for how it simplifies and organizes our lives.
Thanks for the free time...looking forward to site improvements and a Great Future!!

I am staying also. When I had my store, I used to spend hours on accounting. A young man came to visit and he offered to do everything for $150.00 a month. I gave him the work and what a relief it was. I could now spend more time with my customers, research new books, set up interesting displays, and not worry about Uncle Sam.
I feel that AW gives me the same relief. I would rather spend time learning and researching, and actually listing items, than learning html and how to paste pictures. I think we should concentrate on what we do well, and let others take on what we do not do well. For those who are fluid in html leaving AW may be their best bet and I wish them well. I am so new at this, that it will take me awhile to figure out what is truly best for us.

I'll be staying! The fees are still WELL BELOW any costs associated with a traditional B&M business!

I am staying. I don't like the FVF but with the ease of AW this is the best way to go. I have read other sites and find them very unfriendly. AW is very easy to navagate so I will pay the fees and I hope I reap the profits. I like the idea about the storefront because I have quite a bit of inventory that I would like to display and it is not doing any good just lying around.

After extensive research on other alternatives, I decided to stay. I found other sites that are free or cost less, but didn't care for the way they operate. I also looked into putting images on my own web space and using eBay to launch, but really didn't want to jump thru those hoops. I sell antique glass and pictures are very important to my auctions. I think AW does the best job on the web when it comes to images. The new fees will hurt, and I hope AW doesn't get greedy and keep jacking them up, but for now I'll bite the bullet and stay.

I too signed up I am not crazy about the FVF, but for my needs,& time, I feel this is what is best for me. I chose the standard plan. Like everyone else I enjoyed the free ride. I do believe AW is entitled to their fee, they are offereng a service, and product just like we offer to our buyers. and only speaking for myself they made my seling on ebaY easier. I do not use many of the features offered Just enjoying the fact that I can pick and chose from what is available, I have never had a complaint about my photos. (maybe the person taking the photos.)

I, too am staying - and coughed up the $200. For me it was just a business decision. For me time is money. $200 is a small price to pay for the time it saves me in listing - and I really like the way the pics load.
Using the FTP program and Auction Assistant was much more time consuming not to mention the amount of space on my hard drive I was using. And if I also must pay to use the program I paid for - why bother? I may as well stay where I am and use the quicker photo service.
Sure, I like FREE as much as the next person BUT I realize in business most things have a price and unfortunately I just have to deal with it.
If I wasn't also running other businesses and had the luxury of time, I probably would have jumped ship, like so many others have done.
Of course, there may be a better service out there next year. I will continue to look as I list.
My best wishes go out to all, whether or not they choose to use AuctionWatch.

I haven't signed up for either plan yet, but I am considering the basic plan. I like what jcmaya said about letting someone else do "the other work". I am a real low volume seller, but so far I have been able to sell most everything I post the first time. About a 91% rate. I attribute much of that success to AW's templates and other features. As far as the fees go I'm not happy about just like everyone else. However, this is the real world of business, folks! If I can't handle the fees, I'll probably pull out and find something else to do. My only hope is that AW, Dodd & Sales keep an eye peeled and their ears open, while also approaching the community needs with an open mind. If their fee structure isn't working to benefit both sides, change it! Not saying to lower the bar, but I am saying if the rules are too strict where everyone breaks them, the rules need to be relaxed a bit.

I'm staying too!
Why?
**Inventory option so I don't have to keep track seperately from my auction launcher.
**Ability to list MORE than 1 image at a time
**Able to schedule launchings for later.
**Message boards
---
What this did was to encourage me to FINALLY think of how to downsize or streamline my inventory.
--I'm now sending non name brand baby/children clothes to consignment stores.
--I'm only listing name brand and new baby/children clothes.
SO:
I've increased my money areas by sending to consignment stores. I don't have to take pictures/write description/mail etc.
By listing FEWER auctions I'm saving money.
I think thats about it.

I'm leaving. AW doesn't save me time, they waste my time. Slow page loading, image hosting takes hours because pages freeze; I get error messages when signing in so I have to try again later. Plus, I can't use AW for launching.
The fees are pretty outrageous, I can't believe they want up to .30¢ extra from me per auction just for pics. I've already signed up elsewhere. Pics aren't really that important to me anyway, if I don't have a pic in an auction people just email me for a pic and it only takes 30 seconds to send them one, a lot less time than loading it to AW.

Quickdraw,
I too have many concerns and as now I haven't signed up for listing services. There are many threads talking about how much the fees...err...well...suck.
I am not trying to sound like an AW cheerleader, but I would like to keep the comments in this thread to only sellers who are staying and why. It's easier to keep track this way.
I ask that everyone in this thread only post responses of why they LIKE AW and why they are staying.
Did I really say that??? OK AW, are you guys using subliminals on the site???

Speak your mind and learn from others at AuctionWatch.com's Message center, the most active auction message board on the net.

A thread similar to this one but asking who was leaving was deleted without a trace.
It appears that you can't speak your mind as AW advertises.

digitalman * I'm glad you mentioned that the thread was deleted. For a minute I thought I was losing my mind. All I can say is the best thing about Auction Watch used to be the Boards, but that's no longer true. The people who make these boards interesting are the very ones whose posts are being removed. I guess AW subscribes to the pen is mightier than the sword theory.
