Ok It's time for all of the AW sellers who are leaving AW to stand up and be counted! Raise you hand high! If you would like, you could leave a BRIEF reason why you are leaving and how it will help with your ebay auctions.

Well I am leaving... I will of course stay for the message boards.

I don't list enough on Ebay to justify the expense. Maybe if I got some higher end items or did this more full time I might change my mind.
Right now I am so nickle and dimed to death that my profit margin is small.

So Lets hear from the others !!!

I had absolutely NO problem finding alternative FREE image hosting, so count me gone too! But I'll continue to read the boards, as this is still the BEST place for advice and to share stories. (We'll see how long that FREEDOM lasts, though).

Leaving! Why pay for this when you can have something nicer for free?

(I am still sick about the greed AW has displayed - I was an AW cheerleader for 2 years - telling everyone I know about them. I would have paid fees - no problem - but 10 cents per image? FVF Fee? greeeeeeeeeeed.......)

GONE! Paying WAY less for better service including image hosting and auction listing support.

Sales have been up lately too! Better pics, larger and faster loading than AW! More user friendly. People answer your questions there honestly and completely.

There IS life after AW! For those of you who only are staying because you don't think there are other services that are better AND less expensive, you are wrong! I narrowed my choices down to the top 3 and it was hard to decide where to go! But now I have much more and it is costing me much less!

I'll use the message board if they still let us. I will not use any of their other services. I have seen where another service provider is going to maybe start offering launching for a small flat monthly fee. That is all I ever wanted.

Hey! I'm looking for something with all the bells and whistles, too! If any of you are feeling generous out there, I'd love to hear about my other options... Thanks!

Already outta here...

Reason - I found another service where you can schedule your auctions up to a year in advance. They also have vastly superior post-auction management services which I am actually going to use. (I never used AW's post auction stuff because it sucks.) The other site has a cap on fees at $25 per month max you can possibly pay and they accept payment via Paypal.

Let's see: AW cost per month $66.66 for my 1,000 auctions. The other service cost per month $25 + easier to use post auction management. AW made up my mind for me.

The message boards here are the only reason I'll come around here any more.

Gone

Would pay flat monthly fee - say $5.00 to AW for all services. Till then - I'll just have to hang out at the local diner.

Leaving.... already have a nice new template (hubby is sooo talented) and found a place for free image hosting that the pictures load faster than AW. I'll stick around for the boards though, unless they get boring or fees start applying to them.

There are also a whole lot of sellers that aren't able to voice their opinion because of the extreme censorship that has recently become the norm here.....Many of which have had their posting privileges pulled for that same reason!

They are not dead, they have just gone to heaven! LONG LIVE THE DINER!

Here for message boards only! Listed nine auctions today at my new host site. No probs at all. Pictures uploaded like lightning compared to AW's picture hosting (I have a slow telephone modem line). That's 45 cents AW could've had, if they would've gone with a 5-cent listing and no FVF--I would have paid that gladly. Not anymore. Love the new place. Got a little "hungry" for company and hung out at the Diner for a while--no hanging up when changing menu pages. I'll probably upgrade to the other site's $5/mo premier fee.

Hey Digitalman! This WAS going to be my second message that I post! Now please keep in mind that the guidlines of AW state that posts are not be deflamatory, and they have to stay on topic: in this case relating to Ebay issues.

Having said that, I myself just can't afford another fee. Most of my stuff goes for under $10.00.

Another reason is that I need a message board about Ebay where I can talk about ALL issues that pertain to my selling on Ebay.

If the board is monitored and messages are deleted that don't agree with the site owners, it becomes biased. This can hurt my ebay business as important issues can't be addressed that may impact my business.

2 1/2 years ago I started selling on ebay...I made so much money I was giddy. They started adding on fees...first was that 1.00 reserve fee (remember that?) and they've been adding on since then. I've changed my way of selling and items I sell as the fees piled on (you gotta change to stay in)

But what made it always worth while was this wonder Auction Watch...I told everyone (and that's a lot of people) about AW and I would often send thank you emails to them because this sight was really good when I started using it and just kept getting better.

Then it happened...fees for using AW. I almost cried when I read the email notice they sent about the fees. But, I thought it would still be okay, I'd make a few adjustments and changes (again)...but I just could not believe the FVF...I still can't understand AW deserving it. Image hosting fees, if moderate are fine...but FVF? AW doesn't sell these items for me, they are my image hosting service...isn't that all I should be paying for?

And...there are no choices for payments except credit cards...heck, I still pay ebay with weekly checks in advance, and they're fine with that.

Change isn't fun, but it's necessary to survive sometimes...so I do it. And I'm either going to use the space my server provides to keep my images (that's how we used to do it in the beginning anyway) or I'll try another web hosting site.

I'm really sad about it. But I have to minimize expenses...not increase them. And though AW is so easy to use and such a great site...it's an expense I'm not willing to add to the other, ever-increasing expenses. It just doesn't make good sense when there are always options. I just can't accept FVFs...it just doesn't make sense.

...so sad
