Please bear with me, I'll make this as short as possible.
I sold an item for $9.99. Received payment, shipped the item today, but haven't cashed the check yet. This afternoon I receive the following email from the buyer:
"I just ordered this item from you..And I paid you 9.99 for it plus postage.I got on Ebay a few minutes ago..and found the same thing for 1.98. Now I am really upset over this I feel I have been taken..If you have not cashed my check yet( do not) I repeat do not cash it...Is this fair???I don't know if you are aware of this or not ..but some one should be. The Item Number is XXXXXXXXX.Please advise"
I took a look at the auction. This seller has 264 negs and 222 neutrals! He has received 22 negs in the past 7 days! Several of the negs are because people didn't receive their items or because of inflated shipping charges.
I seldom check out my competition, I figure it's a waste of time. But should a seller like this be allowed to continue on eBay? Should I turn this over to safeharbor, or just let it go?

I'd suggest that your bidder start making a habit of checking the feedback COMMENTS, not just the number, of sellers they're considering dealing with!
No wonder people get ripped off, if they don't do their homework!
edited to add, yes I would notify Safeharbor, but whether or not they suspend the seller will probably depend on the percentage of negs. If they've got 10,000 total feedback, that's only 2-3% negs

You could ask this buyer IF they have actually taken a look at the record of the seller HE POINTED OUT TO YOU, if NOT to take a close look at the seller's record. Buyer beware!!!! The other seller may just charge $1.98 BUT what is the shipping charge and will he/she actually get it shipped?!
