I strictly adhere to my terms of service that state that personal checks will be held 10 days before shipment and that the s/h fee I charge will likely be more than what it costs to ship. All of my bad feedbacks have been regarding one or the other of those practices.

If I get a positive feedback with a statement like, "slow ship, but item is great and packed well," I retaliate with a negative.

If I get a neutral, I retaliate with a negative.

If I get a negative, I retaliate with a negative.

After my customers get slammed with a negative after leaving a negative "positive" or a neutral, they are absolutely outraged but they know that they are SOL because I NEVER leave feedback first. Muahahahhaha!

I am one bad mofo.

Good for you!

I am sooooo tired of slackers who bid and win....then hold you hostage with your own item.

It's BS and I hope you're being honest, not just trolling.

Yes, I'm being 100 percent honest. That is truly what I do. I've been doing it for over a year now. It's a great stress reliever and after I slam someone with a neg I feel absolutely GREAT!

Good for you!
We hit back hard too.
9 out of 10 times the bidder who complains about slow delivery took 3 weeks to send in the payment.

Or what about the ones that leave a neg for fraud because they Paypal'd you and you did not deliver... only to find that they sent it to the wrong email address!

1 to 2% of bidders are real jerks.
If you sell 1000 items a month, that's at least 10 loosers you never wanted bidding in the first place. After enough of them it gets really old. I hate having to dealing with "grumpy" people and self-appointed net-cops.
But it comes with the territory, and all we can do is enjoy a real nasty neg back!

The BEST part about it is they usually have very little FB, and my neg sticks at the top of the profile forever, while the one I got gets burried in a matter of hours.

I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.

This posters tactics are completely justified if the seller (as I do) gives the buyer the opportunity to come through. When they start playing games, NEG'EM!

No mercy. I can't stand bidder slackers, which is about 1-2% as stated above.

Some say "Oh, but the bidder, the bidder. Ebay would not survive without the bidder. What kind of an attitude is this to have about the scared cow, known as the bidder!"

My response?

Screw them. Ebay (and my life) would be better off without the slackers---and I'm not necessarily talking about the deadbeats either--I'm talking about the lazy, impossible to please, slow payment mailing, whiney, pain-in-the-a$& bidder who leaves a negative sounding pos or neutral.

NEG'EM!!!

I need to find out what trolls eat so I can be sure to leave a little bowl of their favorite food out for them. Keep them busy eating and maybe they will stay under their bridge

I have had a few positive/negative feedbacks.
What ticks me off is if they have a problem with the item they receive why don't they let me know about it?

Then there is a bidder who screws somthing up
(sends paypal payment to wrong address) then blames the seller.

When something has gone wrong on my end, I correct the problem right away and end up with a positive feedback. I have been lucky.

But if they want to get back at you they can: It's still pretty easy to set up a phoney account, bid on one of your items, win and then leave negative feedback.

They don't need a credit card or any verification to bid on a regular auction (no BIN) so this is pretty easy for them to do.

Some probabally will bid using thier reall ID just for the opportunity to leave neg FB.

I don't really understand the feedback power trip. In what way does it relieve stress?

I quit leaving positive feedback a long time ago. Everyone gets negs now.

Fast Payment, too bad, you get a neg.

Slow Payment, good, you get a neg too.

Paid with MO, not good enough, it should have been a Postal MO, a neg for you as well.

Emailed & asked when your item was shipped, you get a neg too.

Didn't bid as high as I expected you to, you'll get negged as well.

Didn't leave me a pos feedback the same day DC showed it arrived, you'll gain a neg for that too.

Hell, I can now go to vrane & neg everyone in the past 30 days with one click of the mouse.

I figure if I keep this up for long enough, pretty soon I can get back to doing what I like to do best ........ nothing.

LOL! Reddeer, exactly! The world needs needs more sellers With Rotten Attitudes. And why leave feedback at all? People should trust us with their money with no expectation of anything. Heck, if they get their goods, we've done our job, despite the fact they have inconvenienced us no end.

Why every bid just means more email which causes wear and tear on our computers. The time we have to spend packaging could be better spent looking at all our auctions with no bids or dreaming up New And Expanded Terms To Ensure Everyone Knows Just How We Feel About Those Pesky Bidders. The money spent on bubble wrap and boxes (for those sellers who don't think a paper bag is good enough) could be directed to those third party services because we are too busy to learn HTML and can't be bothered FTPing. And need we even mention the labour and gas it takes to haul all this stuff to the post office?

Of course, the above is hogwash, along with the original post. As a seller, I leave feedback first; as a buyer, I expect the seller to do so. If not, I can't be bothered. But alls I can say is thank goodness for sellers like hahaha -- their bad attitude helps to thin out the ranks of sellers who have return bidders....

I imagine a seller like this opening a bakery. Customer asks too many questions - hit him in the face with a pie. Doesnt pull out his wallet fast enough - hit him in the face with a pie. Great stress reliever but not too good for business.

As a computer consultant, I often get bombarded with silly questions. When I start to get annoyed, I just remember one of my favorite sayings. "Clients are such a pain. Wouldn't it be great if I didnt have any?"

One of my stress relievers is when I have to fix something stupid the customer did and they want a detailed explanation of the problem. I tell them it's a common problem called the "ID-ten-t error." When they ask for more detail, I tell them, "next time, just write down ID-ten-t and you'll get it." Then I leave before they get a chance to write it down.

What is really funny....sellers with attitudes like our thread-starter supposedly has actually seem to do just fine on ebay...and so do those who have horrendous feedback, and outlandish shipping, are packing challenged, write nasty emails to their customers, have TOS that are better suited for a maximum security prison than a commercial transaction.

Do the buyers stay away from them in droves? Heck no!! The buyers just keep coming and bidding!

Makes one wonder.

Amy: We have all seen the "bidders just dont read" threads. That applies to feedback too. Con men have long since learned that if you appeal to greed, people stop thinking. I can surf ebay for 5 minutes and find many suspicious auctions where the seller is offering a $500 item for $100, no reserve, no feedback (or negative feedback) and accepts money orders only. Big warning signs of fraud. Yet folks are still bidding. I get lots of email from folks who have been cheated. Almost all of them start with "I guess I should have known that the price was too good to be true." But as someone in the computer business I have learned that folks think if you own a computer, let the computer do the thinking for you and you dont have to.
I once had a boss who heard that a software program would cut his work in half. He bought two of them and didnt show up to work.
