Hello. I'm considering opening a billpoint account to receive ebay payments from, but from what I've read so far, it seems a little confusing to me. Especially since I come from a Paypal background. Can anyone tell me:
1) Can my winning bidders just go to the billpoint.com site, sign themselves in,
give my ebay email address, and pay me without my having to take additional steps
besides sending my end of auction email?
(As long as my Billpoint email address is given to winning bidders in my end of auction email). With the volume I sometimes do, I'd prefer to skip the additional invoice sending
to bidders step and just include my Billpoint email address in my EOA email.
2) Does Billpoint transfer your money to your checking account daily, or can it be at other intervals of your choosing? I ask this because if Billpoint will be charging me each
and every time they transfer small amounts to my checking account daily, it won't be financially worth it to me.
3) Will Billpoint hold my funds for me if I
prefer not to opt for transfers to my checking account? In other words, will they
hold your money on account as Paypal does?

1) Yes. In fact, Billpoint just instituted a new feature where a "Pay Now" button shows up on the closed auction, and if the buyer wants they can click on that and start the payment process on their own. They just enter the correct shipping charges, etc. After the buyer does this, you will get a notice that the auction has been paid for.
2)They do one transfer per day, regardless of the amount.
3) No, the transfer is automatic.
Just as an aside...Billpoint is miles ahead of Paypal as far as customer service. They go above and beyond what you'd expect when an issue arises. Plus, they are more user-friendly for buyers in that they don't require so much information to use them...it's all very straight-forward and professional.
