Hi All-
Is anyone else having trouble contacting their winners? Some of my Email is just not getting through. They all show up in my sent file, none are bouncing back, but the winners are getting more and more upset.
I don't even know who is not getting them until they start to complian about wanting to pay.
I have tried sending through Ebay, I have tried replying to their messages...Am I really going to have to call all my customers to give them their win info?
Any suggestions would be great!

I noticed this too. After 10 days, if I have not heard from the winner I email again with a "Maybe your reply or my message was lost" kind of email. I get about 50% to reply to this one.

It is possible they are just deleting your email, especially if the subject line on it looks like spam. I use something like "ebay #123456 gizmo payment info"

One of my problems, and it is turning into a bigger problem each week it seems, is that the bidders have multiple email accounts, maybe one from their provider, one from work, one from hotmail, etc and they are not checking the account they have registered with ebay for their messages.

They will email me from their "work account" and ask for their "auction info" no other information given.

Used to be I would take the time to do the email search and find what they won, but more and more the search is invalid.

Now I am just starting to reply with
"Please give me the auction number and your email address you have registered with ebay. "

Are you trying to send to AOL accounts? If so, AOL may be blocking your emails. They have been blocking emails from AW and goto, but have worked it out lately. They have also been blocking certain isp's. Pacbell dsl accounts are one in particular. If you send your eoa's yourself and not with a management company, set up a yahoo account and send them thru there. That usually does the trick.

This has been going on with aol for some time . the only way around it is to go through ebay.
bring up the auction and use the "send this auction to a friend" and send it to your winning bidder.

ill bet if you look ,all those lost emails were to aol members.
good luck! i couldnt get anyone to help. aol says its not happening, ebay said they couldnt help.

kyms said that the emails haven't been getting bounced back though.

When AOL doesn't go through for me I get the mail back saying that the sender was unknown or blocked or something like that.

Doesn't AOL do this anymore?

Aol will only do this is the email address is either invalid or if the sender is blocking out the email. They don't send error messages for the 1000's of legitimate email messages that they dump! I know people love their AOL, however, I think
AOL should let their customers decide if they want this dumping to continue or at least let them know about the situation.

that is true. it dosnt show as blocked because its aol and not the user who blocks it. aol denies this , and will say they have never had a complaint. if you call they will say you are the first to report it. if you call 20 times a day they will say you are the first to report it. i know , i went through it along with many of my friends who are aol members.
i am not aol.....this is not a problem if you send from aol to aol. its a problem if you are with a major competitor with aol.
