I was high bidder on an auction and the seller was narued almost immediately after the end of the auction. The seller is emailing me with demands of payment and saying they are narued because 'ebay has messed up their registration'. Yeah, right.
My question is: If I do not complete this transaction and they become un-narued will they be able to post negative feedback to me?
The bid is not a huge amount of money but I do not want to send it to a narued seller.

Stay in contact with the seller, but send payment only AFTER they have straightened out their registration. If this is an honest seller, they will understand your reluctance to send payment to somebody who is NARUD.

If I remember correctly, you're not obligated to complete a transaction with a NARU'd seller.
I did once, but that was after the NARU'd seller offered to ship my item first and have me send payment when I received the item. I agreed, she shipped, and I sent off a check when the item came.
She never got "un-NARU'd," so we never did leave feedback for each other!

Once a person is NARU, they cannot leave feedback.
HOWEVER, if they become un-NARU, I believe they can leave feedback again. I had someone who had become NARU, finished their 30 day suspension & came back to leave feedback. Fortunately for me, it was positive! Not so fortunate for others.

hey eventer Good to see your name here again....long time no see. Hope all is going well with you, your little one and the horses.
tabbinosity is correct. If you email [email protected] and ask they will tell you that you do not have to deal with any ebay seller who has been NARU'd. Ebay offers no protection on the deal.
People are NARU'd for many different reasons, not always because they broke the rules. Some have problems with funds they owe ebay and will be NARU'd until their account is brought up to date.
It's your choice, obviously. If they aren't allowed back, they can't neg you. If the come back they will be able to. But if that happens you can always leave a response as to why you didn't honor the trade. Anyone reading that would understand why you chose not to buy from a NARU'd seller.

RUN!!!!!!!!!!!
I won 2 auctions from a guy, about 3 days apart. I sent payment for the first one, and by the time the second one finished, he was NARU'd. I told him I'd send payment for the second one when either a) I received my items from the 1st auction, or b) he was un NARU'd. He said he was suspended for a week for profanity. That was 2 months ago. He is still NARU'd, I never got my merchandise from the first auction, AND, ther is a group of us that have a detective on his butt, cause he screwed a LOT of people.

If a person is suspended then reinstated and leaves negative feedback for a transaction that wasn't completed due to the suspension, eBay will remove the negative.
This is something I had pointed out to eBay as being unfair, after reading about it on several threads: everybody, including eBay, recommends that people shouldn't attempt to complete transactions with NARU'd sellers, in particular, yet they end up getting punished w/a neg for being practical. The new "bullet item" on the Feedback Removal Policy page was added a couple of weeks later.

If you bought it and you want it go ahead and pay for it! I bought something last year from a person who was NARUed right after the end of sale.I paid for it,he shipped it! The only part of the whole transaction that bothered me was that I was unable to leave Pos.Feed back for him. The deal went so well I felt bad!
