seems ebay is again playing with the html so that systems outside of ebay will not be able to use there closing auction systems..Vrane is half down and working on things as we speak ( poor guy )to get his system back up. Seems ebay is watching these companies and making the changes to the html just before the weekends, this can be the busy time for sellers. Last time they made changes and within 24hrs changed it back to the old html?????
any thought on big old ebays little game???

Jay and I visited eBay in January and we told them they should be hiring VRane or buying VRane, not trying to screw with them. For a large seller like us eBay's existing tools are simply not workable. We are unable, for example, to use any of the feedback systems available through eBay. We post more than 50 feedbacks at a time it crashes our feedback on eBay and it must be reset. We complete 400 auctions daily so that makes it almost impossible to post feedback through eBay. The tools and services offered by eBay are simply not satisfactory for what we do. Vrane is able to provide work-arounds that usually work flawlessly.
VRane is the single biggest thing that is making our business work right now. We love them and depend on them for services for which we are paying, as well as for the services they offer gratis.
And you can quote me on that.

I think Ebay's constant tweaking to the site and servers is a ploy to make us use only their management software, photo hosting and payment program. Same mind set that got Microsoft in trouble! I'm in same boat - my auction management software can't pull down the winning bidders emails so I can't contact them until the software company gets it updated. About the time they get it working, Ebay will TWEAK again and it won't work again. Somehow this could be viewed as auction interference on the part of Ebay.

Too Bad! Vrane is the program that eBay should be using. Great, fast, functional and all. Easy to use. Doesn't get tempermental at all. Grow up ebay and hire Vrane...

vrane gets my vote, my love and my admiration, something ebay has never done.
Elegant, efficient, effective, vrane is so simple, a novice can use it, and so capable many large sellers use it in preference to anything offered by ebay, myself included.
Part of the reason for their success in programming is simplicity. A concept ebay desperately needs to relearn.

Ok, before today I would have said that all of you are getting a little paranoid. But today I go to relist and the first thing that I notice is the catagory on the auction page, which used to be centered, and then moved to the left, has now been centered. Seems like a trivial thing. But ebay is playing around with it.
You all may be right.

I didn't know Vrane existed until I saw it in one of the threads when auctionwatch started charging fee's. I immediately went to check it out. It's the greatest. I use it for scheduling auctions now. They are the best!

Doog Dog, I hope eBaYinc doesn't buy out vrane !
I'd have a hard time thinking of a quicker way to make vrane tools useless, than to have somebody at eBaYinc pushing the buttons.
Look what they did to Honesty

looks like ebay should heed the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
All that tinkering to mess up everyone else may be coming back to haunt them, if that what they are doing.

I am not sure who vrane is ...i have asked him or her and they told me they were a power seller on ebay. What i like is the fact that if you think of an improvement that would help people out ...he or she add's it
over the past year i have asked for
1) database----got it
2)email template at least 2 ----got it
3)a way to email people the auctions # in the subjest ----got it
What you need to do is email this person make them awear that you like there bussiness and you stand behind them if they run into problems that you are willing to understand...most of all give your input and tell him or her what you like!!!!
