I got up this morning and noticed that one of my auctions had closed for $19.99.

I look at the billpoint receipt and the buyer had paid $40

I looked at the address and it says SWITZERLAND!

Now my auction states ship to the US only, but I'm willing to give it a shot if I can figure it out.

1. What the best way to ship a 1lb package international?

2. What do I do with the extra money? The buyer never e-mailed me nor, left any instructions on what to do with the extra.

3. If I should send the extra back, what DO I send back?

Thanks, I'm pretty puzzled on what to do....

If you ship it via Air mail, there probably won't be any $ left over.

This is exactly why I don't use the "Instant Purchase" option for Billpoint.

I never stated any shipping amount, and I saw that with Airmail Parcel Post with insurance, and a return receipt it was $17.34

I figured if I used most of the money, I wouldn't mess with the money return..(consider it an Int'l handling charge since my auctions specifically state shipping in US only)

Yep did the intl calc. and the intl tips.

Buyer is good and everything checks out good from what I see...has 10 pos feedback...course there all in their own language.

Well took it to the PO, and ended up getting in shipped for 7.55!

They send it Air Mail Letter Rate...didn't think you could get letter rate on a box, but she did it, I didn't ask questions.....

Refunded the guy $10 since they sent $20.

Now just hope it arrives in one piece.

Good job, moparmaniac. Maybe you will gain a repeat buyer for your efforts. I think the buyer will really appreciate that you were able to get a good shipping price and saved him that extra $.

I almost NEVER deny the international bidder the opportunity to get my stuff! (unless is is large and heavy). Often the Europeans and Asians will outbid any Americans on items--. Just use the US POSTAL INTERNAIONAL caluculator for figuring postage and Good Luck and rake in those extra $$$.
