I just realized that 45% of my feedback is from repeat customers. Is that the norm?
I've heard some people claim that return business is not what it's cracked up to be. But I've got to say, it sure floats my boat!

I have a lot of repeat business too.
Many of my customers buy from me directly... either off of my Website, or just eMail me for more items similar to what I've listed on eBay.
Haven't attemped to figure out what the percentage is... but I'd say it's a pretty high percentage.
Most of my OFF SITE repeat business is due to that fact that it's just plain easier (and cheaper) to sell directly to a repeat customer than to risk paying more listing fees, site outages and all of the other competition on the site... if there are no competitive bids... the items sell for less money than I could get for them if I just strike a deal with someone.
In the event I have more than one person inquiring about something... I will usually decide to go ahead and list the "thing" and notify all interested parties.
eBay might call that "collecting eMail lists" or "SPAM"... but I call it SELLING.

I'd say my repeat business is between 40-50%. I have some really great customers that have been buying from me since I started 3 years ago. I reccomend sending catalogs or product info when possible with your customers winning items. This helps to build sales and loyalty.

Most of my business is repeat. That is what any business should aim for: keeping your old customers while adding new ones. Not to mention that you dont pay listing and FVF fees on repeat customers who go to you directly. I offer my customers discounts on future orders and I can do this easily by deducting the listing and FVF fees I would have paid. I also offer discounts to folks referred by previous customers.
