I listed a book under the wrong catagory i.e. non-fiction instead of fiction. The title and jacket info made it sound like a biography about a famous person, but now I discover it's a novel.

The item already has a bid. Should I cancel the bid and the auction, and relist under the proper catagory or simply add to my description and notify the bidder of my mistake? The auction ends today, so I'm concerned that the bidder may not read their email in time.

I'm leaning toward canceling the auction. Any opinons would be appreciated. Thanks!

From what you've said, you could cover all your bases.

Add to the description before any more bids occur. Then email the current bidder, and if no response before the auction ends, end the auction and relist correctly.
