Hi folks. Here at AuctionWatch we're putting together a story about prank auctions--like the recent Mir space station wreckage auctions on eBay--and we'd like to get your feedback. Why do you think prank auctions earn eBay so much media publicity? Why do people list/bid on them--what's the appeal? Do prank auctions hurt eBay's reputation as a serious venue, despite the free publicity and notoriety? Post any comments you have here or feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. Thanks in advance for your input.
