When you set a Buy It Now price, is it accepted practice not to include shipping charges? That is, when a bidder uses BIN to purchase your item, the total is BIN price + shipping cost, right?

Yes, that is the way I would understand it. I've bought a couple of items using BIN, and never thought that the BIN price included shipping.

That's been my assumption as both buyer and seller. Of course, you know what they say about assuming.
