My mouse finger and an atomic clock.

I've used esnipe on several occasions, and it's worked perfectly (I usually have it set to a 10- or 15-second buffer, and my "winning time" is within 1 or 2 seconds of my buffer).

Without eBay, I might have a real life...

I agree with Capriole. If you have to resort to sniping, stay up late, lose some sleep,
and do it yourself...It is honest and someone is not making a profit on your desperation.

Best,
Dusty

I still use my mouse finger and any digital clock or watch I have handy. Hadn't bought in awhile but really wanted a piece of jewelry a couple of weeks ago and did it with 5 seconds to spare. Good enough for me as long as I get what I want.

There are times when you cannot be there. Yes, there really is life away from eBay!!!
esnipe always works for me. Not so awhile back, but they improved. 10 or 11 secs are usually all you need.

ragstoo, if I wanted something as bad as I wanted my last purchase and couldn't be at my computer I would definitely try esnipe or another program.

I used to use esnipe - but they weren't that reliable. I've switched to vrane - and haven't lost a snipe yet......knock wood....

Says who?

BTW - I Would never snipe with less than 5 secs on the clock if it was something I really wanted. One little eBay burp & it's all over but the crying.

But that is a real sniper, reddeer! Heart pounding, finger almost trembling.

But yes, ebay burped this summer and I missed the most beautiful pink flamingo I had ever seen.

I prefer to do my sniping in person. But then I do it more for fun than anything else. I really dont mind to much it I dont get the item. If I dont get it I know that sooner or later there will be another one just like it for sale.
