The margins in the item description. Have you noticed that the inch or so of white space on either side of the text has vanished and that now the text runs wall to wall? It looks cramped and smooshed. Think it's a glitch or here to stay? Or am I the only one to whom it appears this way?

Hope it's a glitch. Looks ugly as hell. Also, lack of white space can turn off bidders, particularly if you have several paragraphs of info to impart. Wall-to-wall blocks of copy can be intimidating to folks browsing.

I noticed that the margin space had been decreased but I thought I had done something to my change the display properties of my monitor.

I looked at a few auction pages and along with the 24 point typeface people insist on using it is makes the pages even more unreadbale if that is possible.

I also noticed that the ebay stuff on the bottom is no longer centered but aligned left.

I don't know how anyone with a 15" screeen is going to be able to see anything since the scale is so large.

Very bad design of no utilty, and ugly.

Spaz,

I looked at your auctions and they look normal to me.

I use html with tables in my auctions and have not noticed a difference.

wynter,

I know. But I confess, you did give me a start. Then I considered what day it is, lol.

Spaz:

EBay appears to have eliminated the hidden blockquote command that created the indented text appearance in descriptions. To get the indented look again, start your auction description with:

<*blockquote> and end the description with <*/blockquote>

(without the astericks)

Thank you very much, Irene. You have to wonder why they went and did that. Did they run out of other things to tamper with?
