It seems at least one AW user is having problems with my pics on eBay stalling.

Could anyone reading this please let me know how long [in seconds] it takes for this pic to load?

Thanks!

Neil, this one loaded fast for me as well but it doesn't have the blue frame around it. Try a set of photos from one of your auctions. I think it may have something to do with the blue frame.

Thanks all.

Blanche The blue border is simply a "link" border, same as a text link is blue, so I can't see how that could be the problem?

I'm going to do a little fishin around & will post back here later.

Fast for me on cable too. I wonder, could the url be the problem? Do certain browsers or connections have issues with the direct IP address?

Meya

That's what Blanche was wondering? I have no idea? So far Blanche is the only one who seems to be having a problem?

I'd post one of my auction "click to enlarge pics", but it looks like eBay just took a nose dive.

I'm not sure if this will work with UBB, but here goes nothing ............

So much for that idea.

reddeer; I took a look at a couple of your auctions, even the jacket with multiple pics, they were all there by the time I scrolled to them. Didn't get hung up.

Colin ...... I wish! I'm always looking though. If you wouldn't mind, could you take a look at some of my auctions for me? Blanche feels the stalling might have something to do with my "click to enlarge" HTML. BTW - I lost your email addy during my HD crash, send me an E sometime so & can add it to my address book.

Thanks!

Hi Neil. I don't think it's the blue border either because the first time I noticed the problem was in this thread: http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=2&id=354928&thread=354754. Meya's photo comes up fast but yours hang before they finally load and they don't have the blue border.

Would some of you please click on the above thread to see if you have a problem with reddeer's photos loading. If you already saw that thread and still have the pics in your cache you probably won't have a problem. I need someone using a dialup connection who hasn't seen the thread to let us know how the photos are loading.

This is really driving me crazy. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the numerical address or if his server is having a problem in certain areas. Maybe it's just me but I'm not having trouble with anyone else's pictures. I'm using IE and there's a definite lag time before Neil's pics load for me.

Thanks,
Blanche

Thanks rancher24. I guess it's just me. I usually connect at around 53K actual speed which is probably as good as a 56K dialup can ever get and his photos just hang before they finally pop in. Maybe it has something to do with my security settings or WebWasher. As long as no one else is having the problem and it's not effecting reddeer's auctions I guess I'll just have to live with it.

But it still drives me crazy!!

I guess I'm the only one who couldn't see it (or hear it, or taste it).

Just kidding. It loaded in about 5.6932 seconds.

Hi 56k modem and connected at 49333bps and it came up as soon as I clicked on the link. So 1 second for the first part and complete in about 3 or 4 sec.
