Hi, I have an old copy of a Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales book. There is no printed date but a date in handwriting of June 16. 1917. I cannot find this same copy of book anywhere. I looked on bibliofind, bookfinder and abe but none of them have this copy (published by Dodge Publishing). There are many other of this same book in a wide price range, some are expensive and others are worth nothing. I'm wondering if its even worth listing because I have no idea what makes one of these books worth so much more than another! Would the publishing company even make a difference?
Thanks for any help

Sounds like you have a common reprint.
What makes any book of fairy tales of interest/value are the illustrations. Fairy tales illustrated by Edmund Dulac, Arthur Rackham, Kay Nielson, etc. are considered collectible.
