Hi it looks like the scheduled maintenance is a bit longer than usual. I copied and pasted this from the announcement board.

Regularly Scheduled Maintenance lengthened to 4 hours ***

The eBay system will be unavailable Thursday, April 5th from 2300 PDT until Friday, April 6th at 0300 PDT for regularly scheduled maintenance. During this time, only the eBay home pages will be accesible for viewing; category listing pages and title search index pages will not be available.

We continue to improve the quality and functionality of our site, and this change will eliminate a majority of the most recent causes of downtime for the site.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you first thing Friday morning, as soon as maintenance is complete!

Regards,
eBay

I have a couple auctions that were supposed to close in the next hour (before midnight PDT). What will happen to them? Will eBay extend them or what????????????????

Well it looks like you guys have been punished for having the audacity and arrogance to list saleable items within 2 hours PRIOR to a scheduled outage.

Of course, whilst Ebay's outrage policy means that the outage which totals two hours prior to regular outage means automatic auction extensions, this extraordinary outage was scheduled ....... (6 hours ago), so because of your lack of foresight and foolish recklessness with listing times obviously you do not deserve any extensions or the benefits of snipers or late bids.

I await the Ebay anouncement that any listings made on a day that contains the letter Y are not applicable to extension or refund policies.

Hooray for hipocrisy, Kevin

This is just #*!@-ing swell. There were things I needed to do tonight and here I am racing around like a jerk trying to get my #*!@ together before the usual scheduled maintenance only to discover that they screwed us over yet again.

We shouldn't have to check a goddam announcement board just to be sure that we'll be able to work during the regularly scheduled hours of operation.

I feel like smashing something. It's been that kind of day.
