After a long day of yard saling yesterday, I get home only to discover my hubby wants to go to the local auction. I was dead tired but agreed to go. Thank goodness since they had some really nice estate items up for sale.
Here is my dilema though, and I can't seem to find out much about these. I have 30 different photo type cards. They are about the size of a postcard. Each features a St Louis Cardinal team member, a printed signature, and a note saying... " Dear cardinal fan, I hope that you like this autographed picture of your favorite Cardinal player. Best wishes. AUGUST A. BUSCH,Jr."
I need opinions. Should I list them all together, break them up individually, and what type of category would they fit in best? Memorabilia or trading cards?
Some of the players, I even recognise the name of. Stan Musial, Jerry Stanley. The one thing I did find out was that these were from about 1955. Thanks

I would keep them together. What are some of the other names besides Stan Musial? (he was known as "Stan The Man" Musial). The Cardinals had some great players in the 50's and 60's and these could be worth a pretty penny if in good shape.
By the way, if you have 30 and they're all from 1955, it could be a complete set. I wouldn't break them up.

Hi loosecannon. I did a search, comparing what players where on the team, and by elimination, got it to 1955. Some of the names I can actually decipher ( what handwriting for some of these *L*) Tom Dalasky, Eddie Stanley, Cot Deal, Lil Brazle, Ray Jablonski(?), Harvey Haddix, Wally moon, Al, Schoendienst, Sas Yvars, Alex Grammas, Royce Luit, Ralph Beard, Brooks Lawrence, Harry"p-nuts"Lowrey, Mike Ryba, Rip Repulski, Joe Frazier, Bill Sarni, John Riddle, Vic Raschi, Solly Hemus, Joe Presko, Joe Cunningham, Dick Schofield, Gordon Jones. A few more that I can't decifer.
All are in very good condition. One has a bend on the corner. No yellowing.

These were more than likely a team set that fans who wrote the Cardinals would get.Loosecannon hit it on the head-Stan Musial is the key,be sure to take a separate pic of that card.Red Schoendienst is also a good card.List them in baseball cards vintage and also in Collectibles/Breweriana/Paper.They will appeal to beer collectors too.
Good luck...
