OK--somewhere along the line I've missed something, or deleted one too many "great opportunity" sales pitches. When I search on e-bay, sometimes (not always!) when the list of items comes up, there's a little thumbnail picture next to the listing instead of the little camera icon. Not all of the listings have this and in fact, most still have the camera icon. Sometimes they're there--sometimes not--even when searching on the same title. Where did these little guys come from? I think it's a great idea, but wonder which company is promoting it and what the cost is.

That's actually ebay's gallery! If you look at the top of the listings there's the option to 'view all with gallery preview' in yellow - that shows you the list, but puts that thumbnail up to the left if you've paid your $.25 to have it listed in the gallery.

Haven't seen that yet. What category were you looking in?

I'm not sure it's a good idea, personally. The listings look crowded enough as it is. Last thing we need is more eye-candy on the listing page.

Oh okay, I just saw it now. I never bid on Gallery stuff. I just always figure it's overpriced so I don't bother to look at it.
