I use mister l...... and use html to attach my picture in my auction. However, the picture symbol does not show up. Is there a way to get it to, without using ebay's photo service?

To have the Picture icon appear you have to enter something in the box asking for the "Item Picture URL". You can enter anything you like, even just a full stop. You will have a little x at the bottom of your listing, showing a broken link, but you will have the picture icon.
I have made a little logo up for myself and uploaded it so I always use that. Makes the auction look a little more personal and gets me the picture icon. Hope this helps.
