YAY! It worked!! BTW that's a box of Lipton Tea <g> I was trying to find something the same color of yellow that almost anyone would have on their shelf that they could reference to the color of yellow that it is.

Smart thinking about putting the tea box there. I sometimes have trouble making my digital camera show colors accurately. I think I may use this idea in the future. Thank you!

Hi glassgrl
Your pattern is called Empress, or Etch #447 by the A.H. Heisey & Co. according to Gene Florence's Glassware Pattern Identification Guide. If it's not this pattern then my eyes are really deceiving me. This is a gorgeous pattern.

Yup. Empress #447 etch is correct on an Octagon blank- if it has 8 sides? Color is Sahara. That is according to Florence's Elegant Glass book. (he says that Octagon blanks should be marked with the usual H in a diamond.) This etch was introduced in 1928 and discontinued in 1937 (Ream and Bredehoft, Encyclopedia of Heisey Glassware, Etchings & Carvings, Vol. 1, 1977)
