It is a great WWII scrapbook and obviously belongs in the Militaria/WWII category. But what about a second category?
posted on April 15, 2001 11:03:39 AMIt has a lacquered, shiny enamel-type cover. Can anyone help me with what this substance is officially called.
When I was growing up we called that finish "japanned." Guess others do as well, because a search on eBay using "japanned" brings up several listings, from furniture to boxes to pins...

You might also try Collectibles:art;Vintage Pin Up or Collectibles: ARt: Vintage Pin Up Risque.
Show pictures of the pin up art in the listing - if you can make out any signatures on the pin ups mention those names. I can't really tell from your picture who the artists might be but big names in old pin up art are Vargas, Petty, Elvgren, Devilbiss, etc - my mind is drawing a blank on others, sorry. Try to the the words "PIN UP GIRLS or Pin Up Art" in the auction title -
Any of the Collectible Ephemera categories would probably work too.
