Go to the esnipe site and you'll see they encourage a 5 sec snipe time since their Rovatron is so good. So I did. And it missed the end of the auction today.
Possible reason:
"Missed Auction End Possible causes:
- Your buffer was too short. eSnipe recommends a buffer time of 10 seconds."

Yeah. I love esnipe (or have), but dontcha just know that EVERY time it's really important to me (relatively speaking -- nothing on ebay is ThAT important), they fail me. Percentages of failures are smallish, but importance of failures have been big.
I'd never trust 5 seconds. And I've had doubts about the 10 seconds lately too.
And I'm bummed about the fees, but most of my purchases are under $25 so maybe it'll still be a free service (for now????).

I don't use this type of bidding and never will. This is what, I think, is taking the bidders away. I remember, which was not to long ago, the bidders bid and there was compitation now all there is, is sniping. I also think that sellers are using the BIN more is because of this. At least the seller doesn't have to wait for a sale until the end of the auction where they would get the same price as the BIN. Maybe esnipe can snipe in 5 seconds but if there are multiple bidders it will work for only one.
