I have a number of used books on investing that sell new for between $50 and $100. On eBay these books usually sell for one half or less of their retail value. Is there a better place to sell them?

You might have better luck posting them on ebay as a "lot". Sometimes that helps bring in better bids.
Otherwise I don't know anywhere else you could sell them for more than half retail.
Good luck.

Your answer surprises me. I would think that selling books as a lot would reduce the average price per book.

timaratz,

You might check out abebooks.com, amazon.com and bibliofind.com (I think it was recently bought by Amazon) to see if anyone lists these titles and what the prices are. I've generally seen higher prices on these sites than on eBay or half.com. I have no idea what the fees are to list on those sites, but you might get closer to your desired price.

Without eBay, I might have a real life...
