We are just beginning to brave the oceans and maybe try some international auctions...in looking at the white custom (4lbs or over) it has a place to check return to sender (in case of nondelivery) or abandon?? While we realize that we would have to pay for the return, my other half says check abandon if it is a small amount item, I am not so sure that would be a good decision. What I am wondering if checking abandon might target or flag that package to never get there? What do you that sell international recommend?

I use a dollar cut-off that I am comfortable with. In other words, under that amount, I check abandon, because it's not worth it to pay the return postage. Over that amount, I'd rather pay the postage to get the item back so I don't check abandon. I've sent many packages overseas with the abandon box checked, and have never had one disappear.

I check that box when ever postage is more than the item is worth. (Fairly often, it seems )
