Since you all were in on the preparation for my resale shop I thought I'd share what is happening!
It is officially called "MOMMY AND ME RESALE"....I sell new and used:
Maternity-kids clothes and plus size ladies fashions.
I'm open from 1pm-8pm. I chose these hours because all shift workers would have opportunity to stop in.
The only advertising I've done is with a black sign with florescent letters out front.
Been open 5 days and made enough to pay the weeks rent.
My next step is to do some advertising. I've ordered business cards...am talking to the local paper rep tommorrow (THEY are coming out to me..I don't have to go to them ..
and a friend delivers those free papers at the store and convient stores? They deliver 24,000 and they will place them for FREE into 3,000 in the surrounding area of my shop.
And today I listed a few on ebay to keep money coming in to pay for all of the above.
I'm also consigning surplus clothes I've gathered to a store in another town who is very established and never has enough kids clothes. (Again..to keep cash coming in til the people are!)
I'm having sooooo much fun! I've got a spare computer hooked up so I can go online from work...and my baby grandson (10 mos) stays with me and he takes a 2 hour nap about 1pm so that works out good. I sit on the floor with him and play and hold him...it is sooo much fun.
It's tiring and hard work...but it's liberating and health wise I'm doing so much better!
