a Persoal account. With Personal accounts, I wasn't charged a fee for receiving money up to $100 per month. Now that I have a Premier account, I get charged a fee every time somebody sends me money. Thanks.

You can have a Premier account and a personal account---they just have to be different emails

I don't think you can link up the same checking account to more than one PayPal account, though.

Damon, how about that? Can the same checking account or credit card be linked to more than one PayPal account? Will it work if the account is "unverified"? (My mom and I both have a PayPal account, and I couldn't link our joint checking account to both PayPals--the account IS "verified".

Without eBay, I might have a real life...

Unless they have made recent changes-you can change from a Premier to personal and back to Premier 1 time. I did that. I went from Business back to personal and then recently upgraded to Premier. After that I think you have to close the account and open another one.

I wanted an account for buying and one for selling. I was even willing to go Premier on the selling account. Was told I needed two bank accounts. They wouldn't let me link two accounts to one bank account. Of course, that was 4 months ago and things can change very fast at PP.

I had a personal account, then upgraded to Premier, and then called just about a week ago and downgraded back to a personal account. I was told I could only downgrade one time. Go for it! I didn't want those fees, and didn't think I sold enough to worry about going over my small personal limit.

Can anyone help me, I can't see where to downgrade to a personal account... I've tried looking and I can't find it anywhere or they hiding it from me? Thanks

I did request to go from a Premier account back to a personal account (I had to send them an email asking where in the heck to find the information, at which point they sent me an email saying to respond to THAT email that I wanted to downgrade!!). I was told that I would be downgraded in a couple days. Now they have sent me another email saying I can't go to a personal account because I do too much "e-commerce". I have responded to this as to what the number is as far as "too much". I have about 15-20 auctions a month going through Paypal, each averaging a total auction cost of $8.00 (I mostly sell my toddler daughter's clothing). Paypal is making money off what I have in their account anyway, so why keep ripping me off? If anyone knows of another online payment option, please let me know, because I've just about had it. Money Orders aren't so bad...

Hi carey,

Would you mind sending me a copy of that email?

Customers are allowed to downgrade once and the response you received would not be an accurate one.

My email address is [email protected].

Hi carey,

Please contact me if your account is not downgraded by tomorrow.

Thanks for your patience.

Okay, I am IMPRESSED! Damon, you got that downgrade taken care of! Thank you for such a quick response.

This was my first message center posting (ever) and it turned out to be a great experience. I will be back (hopefully not with a "need-to-vent" situation, but something more helpful). Thanks again!
