Hello, I was wondering if anyone has ever bid on those vacation packages you find on ebay? For example, they advertise 2 RT airline tickets to FL (on a major airline), followed by a cruise to the BAHAMAS and a 4 night stay in the BAHAMAS . They also offer vacations to Disneyworld, Vegas, and others. They state it is NOT a timeshare and nothing additional will be sold. After carefully reading the fine print, it appears that even with the "registration and Taxes" you end up only paying about $600 for the trip, which is still a great deal! The sellers usually have a high number of feedback and they are selling a lot of them. Has anyone out there taken one of these trips and if so how did it go. With summer coming, I'm ready to save $$ on a vacation. Thanks!!

Yes it's legit. The travel is booked through a travel broker who buys in quantity from the airlines, that's the reason for a low price. There are certain restrictions, just as if you were bying direct from an airline at a bargain price, such as holiday or weekend restrictions. These ads are pretty detailed so read carefully so it meets your needs, but other than the restrictions it is a great deal.

You have to be carfull with the fine print.
Ex: it will say that you have to stay
At a "preaproved" hotel or a hotel chain.
That could be Renasiance hotel that
Is $250 per night.
Happene to one of my friends once
(the seller was suspended from eBay after that)
She had to buy 2 airline
Tickets and pay fo 7 days hotel
The tickets were $50 each (as listed on ebay)
The total hotel cost was $1400 something.
Just be carfull, this might be a different situation, but do ask for all the info, even the name of the hotel.
(also, sometimes seasonal rates are lower or higher, which they dodnt specify in those.
There is a difference between $100 per nite
Of season and $300 in season)

a co-worker of mine purchased one of those packages off of Ebay and it also involved cheap flights but then the hotels they were 'authorized' to use ended up at over $300 a night which is ridiculous. she was very dissatisfied. i would not purchase this type of package when there are so many hotel and airline deals available to anyone if you just search the net for them.
