Today I got my first 2 negatives from the same bidder: "SENT PAYMENT BUT NEVER RECIEVED BEADS." I have 1481 positive feedbacks 515 from unique users. (Just received my purple star last week.)
I got the negatives from someone who never paid for 2 auctions ended on 02/24/01. I left him 2 neutrals yesterday: "Auction ended 02/24/01. Payment was never received." He gave me the 2 negatives this morning.
My response to his feedbacks was: "Retaliatory feedback. Auction ended 02/24/01. Payment was never received."
Just wanted to share this with my fellow AW members. You will understand my pain, my family doesn't.
It really hurts!! .

You're very lucky to have gotten this far before you got your first with all the looneys out there. This is not a slam on buyers (most are superb), but the law of averages just caught up with you.
Very sorry to hear about your negs. I know how they can totally ruin your day/week. Especially the undeserved ones - like retaliatory ones.
For NPB's I always NEG them, because I've made the mistake in the past of just giving them neutrals and they turned around and NEGGED me. And ebay does nothing to protect us sellers from these deadbeats. It's not fair.
Your response to the negs sounded very good, and anyone will be able to see they were retaliatory and undeserved.
