Tonight at an auction I bought two boxes of Avon bottles, about 20 in a box (mostly empty, sort of old). I don't know what possessed me!
Now I have these bottles--they appear to be mostly men's toiletry bottles. A couple don't have lids. Here are my questions:
1. Some of them have a teeny bit of cologne in them. Should I leave it like that or clean them out?
2. Are the bottles without lids worthless?
3. If they are collectible, is eBay the best place to sell them?

They are probably all worthless.
I have 2 boxes of them in my garage and they are still in the original box(most of them are cars). Couldn't give'em away on eBay.
All they are doing is taking up space.

The postal jeep and the mailbox ones are collectable (by postal employees) and the horse ones are with horse/western collectors. I don't know about the others.
I think I saw once that the golf cart sells pretty high...

I put three Avon bottles on ebay late last year at a starting bid of $1.00- got no bids. Took them to a local resale shop, they didn't sell there either.
I went to an estate sale last week and their empty Avon bottles sold for $20.00+.
