I know we have talked about the summer doldrums and starting bids at $1, but I thought I would start again...

Last summer I listed a lot of items (clothes) at $1.00 or $1.99 and it didn't seem to help bring up the bids anymore than listing with a decent profit to start off with.

True I will have a higher sell thru rate first time out, but what good is it if I don't make a profit, why not just list at a higher opening bid and relist a few times?

Summer is here and my bids dropped to almost nothing...but I have noticed people are waiting till the last day/hours to bid...so I will probably get 1 or 2 bids only this summer unless I have a winner, but who is to know in advance?
