I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with. I have an auction listing where I accidentally put the wrong number of audiotapes in the description. The actual number is 6 and I accidentally put 12. I'm considering ending the auction early. I do have bidders on the item, but the bid is still relatively low for what this item usually brings. If I end the auction and cancel the bids, what are the repurcussions of that? Can the high bidder leave me a negative? What's the best way to handle this type of situation? Thanks so much!

Actually, you'll want to cancel the bids, then end the auction (in that order).
Can the high bidder leave me a negative?
Not if you cancel all the bids first. If you end the auction with somebody as the high bidder, then they can leave feedback.

I would get a list of the email addresses of all the current bidders, cancel the bids, end the auction, and email all the bidders to let them know why.

I would end the auction and relist.
Once I put the wrong software release on a item .
I had a bid so I could not modify it
I added the correct rev number in large red text I emailed each person as the bid and explained the mistake
I emailed the high bidder after the auction ended and he said no he didn't want it (evan though I had emailed him three days earlier about the descrepency)
