I am going to be using a drop shipper to ship my items, so they will be coming from another state than where the high bidder will send money to me.

I don't forsee any inventory problems, and this company ships within 48 hours and I will pay same day with my credit card....so I don't really forsee any major shipping delays, I normally ship same day that I receive payment, but I have ordered a lot from others and many don't ship same day...

Would like some suggestions on if I should note in my auction description that I don't have physical inventory....and product comes from other location.

IMO Drop-shipping for ebaY sellers is like playing with fire while wearing clothes doused in gasoline.

That being said, if you DO plan to drop-ship, you had BETTER let your customers know ahead of time IN THE AUCTION LISTING. If not, you'll be here sharing tales of woe very shortly.

Yes, absolutely. That is a material fact. Frankly, you cannot guarantee the "actions" of a third party so you cannot assume they will always ship in a timely fashion.

The buyers have the right to know you do not have the merchandise on hand.

You HAVE to let the buyers know that the item is drop-shipped. eBay insists.

And WHEN this company screws up, your feedback and seller reputation will be what suffers.

Have you ever read the feedback of some of these sellers who use drop shipping services?

They are normally chock full of complaints about defective merchandise, NO COMBINED SHIPPING, restocking fees, wrong item shippid, lost damaged items, Overpriced shipping rates, and tons of slow shipping complaints.

What do you plan on selling?

Make sure you clearly state you will not combine shipping on multiple items most drop shipping services won't.

I avoid these people like the plague, If I wanted to buy from a huge company I would do so.

Just remember if your drop shipper screws up you may be held responsibl;e to buyer.

I'd reconsider doing something less troublesome.
