Can you do Delivery Confirmation on regular USPS mail, or is that only available for Priority Mail?

Just asking you all because you could probably answer faster than the USPS. =)

Thanks.

Hi Jonathan - According to my PO here, it is available on all services. The charge is .40 for first class and below, and .30 for Priority....good luck!

According to my PO, it's not available on regular first class mail, but it is available for 40¢ on priority, 50¢ on media mail and parcel post.

Unless there has been a major change that I'm unaware of, DC IS NOT available for first class. I sure wish it was!

I live in Myrtle Beach, SC - I just asked this question to one of the Postal Workers last week, because I have had some problems on mailing (I have stamps.com) - she told me that I could purchase delivery confirmation on anything I mailed via the USPS, but there was a difference in price between Priority and the other classes. She explained that it is not available on standard letter size envelopes going first class (I don't use those anyway), but if you ship first class in the large brown envelopes, you can purchase it. I mailed two out last week at first class rate with delivery confirmations.....maybe I just lucked up and got a new mail clerk!
I did quote the prices wrong - it is .40 and .50, respectively.
And just a note: I plan on cancelling stamps.com as soon as I can use the postage up that I have in there - I have to go to PO anyway, and I am fed up with all the problems - and $18.99/month!
