Is it really legal for Half to be charging book buyers the full rate for each individual book, but giving the seller only a portion of that, especially when they are selling 2 or more books to the same person?
As:
buyer agrees to pay the shipping and handling costs for items purchased on the Half.com Site according to the following single item, fixed schedule:
Media Mail (Formerly Special Standard):
Hardcover Books $2.99 per book
Everything Else $2.25 per item
Priority:
$4.50 per book or item item
Seller Shipping Options and Reimbursement Allowance - Books, Music, Movies and Games
Half.com will reimburse the following "first/additional" shipping and handling allowance* to the seller (see also Seller Payment Policy):
Media Mail (Formerly Special Standard Mail):
Hardcover Books $2.20 for the first hardcover book
$0.83 for each additional hardcover book
Other books: $1.75 for the first, 58 cents each book thereafter.
Obviously, Half plays no part in the shipping of any of the merchandise. So, how are they legally cutting in like this?
Isn't this overcharging the buyers? Isn't this sort of thing ILLEGAL when done by companies, especially on a regular basis? Sort of like mail fraud?

Escandyo, I think you make a good point. I would look up and contact class-action attorneys. Find out what they think.
