Won 2 items on 4/26 from this seller located in Japan who is selling in US Ebay auction. I won once before off this seller back in March and transaction was flawless.
This time I never received any email from her saying I won, or mailing information. I think since I bought off her back in early march, she probably figured I already have her address. (This happen before on another overseas seller).
But the problem is, I didn't save her email from March, because the transaction is complete. Many of you will say "You should've saved her email". Well, I don't think any buyer saves old address of transaction that happen a month 1/2 ago. Transaction is complete, so why save the old address?
I emailed her and asked her to email me her address and payment information. Now the trouble starts.....
First email I got back was "didn't send the item, payment not received" that's it.
I emailed her a 2nd email stating payment was not send because you never emailed me a winning confirmation nor a addresss.
Then I get a email stating "You did say you mailed it, item can't be mailed yet".
I emailed a 3rd email saying "I never said I mailed it, I need your address. How can i mail it when I don't have your address?"
Then I received a email saying "Item will be mailed soon as money received".
what the hell is going on? shall I contact safe harbor? I never had trouble with this seller, but maybe she read my email backward and thought I said I mailed it, when I said I didn't mail it? Japan, words are sometimes backwards if translated wrong? I won these two items, and I want to send the payment, yet I have no address. Isn't it seller's job to email when auction is over? I never got any email from this seller for 10 days so I had to email her. Help!

Actually, eBay says seller and buyer should contact each other within 3 days of close of auction. I know most wait for the seller, but if I had won an auction and I had not heard from the seller within the 3 days, I would have emailed the seller for the necessary information to make payment.
Why don't you start over....Send her a very polite email telling her, I am so-and-so and I won your auctions XXXX & XXXX on such-and-such a date. My address is XXXXXXXXX. Please send me the total due and your address and I will make payment. Thank you. XXXXX
This seller may beleive they did send you an EOA and that since they had not heard from you in 10 days, they figure you were not going to complete the transaction.
She probably is misunderstanding your email. Seems to me she thinks you are wondering where your item is, but she is informing you she has not received your payment yet.

lol! sorry, ultraman, i know this must be frustrating, but it reminds me a little of that abbott & costello bit, 'who's on first?'
i think you've got on your hands a seller who's too busy for her own good, and has gotten careless about reading her email. she thought your first one was 'where's my item?' and ever since, when she sees your email address, thinks 'but i already said i haven't gotten payment yet, what's his problem?'
i agree with sulyn150: start over. just say something like 'please send me your address so i can send you off my payment. thanks!'

Maybe it would help to break down these thoughts on separate lines, or just scrap the long sentences and get straight to the point:

You have to be VERY careful writing English for Japanese readers unless you know their language skill level is high. Their language is totally different from English and they become confused if the English structure is complex.
Try again:
Stick to very SHORT sentences and a very small vocabulary. Do not use one word to mean two concepts. Do not leave out words or use any implied structures or use compound sentences. Maintain strict Subject/Verb/Object order, with one idea per sentence ... third grade level writing. Use time cues (after, before)
1. I won auction ##### for XXXXX.
2. Please email me the total due and your mailing address.
3. After you email your address to me I will send you the payment.
To be functionally fluent in a language you need to know about 800 words. Give them the benefit of the doubt, and *try* to stick with maybe the top 400 words. (I couldn't tell you what they are, but please, thank you, and all the numbers are in that list)
With Aussie's and Brit's you can use the top 2000, no problem.
With Canadians, except for mistaking "gift" for "merchandise", their language is the same as ours
Edited cuz it needed it.
