I must be really bored out of my mind.Tonight I went to relist an auction on Ebay. It always takes a long time to do this,But tonight I counted the times I had to hit the reload button (RETRY)I finally got to the submit button after 37 retrys.why dont they fix this? Do I hold the record ,or what? My guess is Ebay dont want us to use the relist option. Well it worked.because I only relisted one that way.

Ebay not welcome relist!
it is called "Circumventing eBay fees"
No one happy to credit you money!
So eBay makes some trouble for relising item!!

You know, I read on here awhile back someone said to wait about 2-3 minutes before hitting the submit button. I had a bunch of relists the other night and after getting that same darn error, I tried doing other things for awhile before I submitted them. Wouldn't you know, it worked! Good luck.

I'll bet you're AOL users.
I have a normal 56K connection and relisted about 70 items tonight.
No problem. It took about 45-60 seconds per auction.
One after another after another, and I did it during peak hours at that!

I use AOL, but with cable. I relist every week through Ebay, and they go right on. I don't remember this being a problem several months ago either, when I just used straight AOL. Are you using the latest IE? Maybe your AOL phone line is a slow one? That would drive me nuts!

I'm not on AOHell here. I used to be able to revise/relist with one click. But our computer blew up and we've since reformatted. It may be the version of IE I'm using.

MouseSlayer,
I had an older version of IE & had the devil of a time getting things to relist. I switched over to NS & things went fine.
I recently upgraded to the newest IE & things appear to be fine again. So it could be your version of IE if it's an older one.

Eventer, I'm running IE 5.0 right now. I had 5.5 before the crash. I did try to upgrade it again, but kept losing my connection and gave up. I have a horrible time staying connected these days. I haven't decided if it's the isp or modem yet, but a new modem is on the top of my shopping list! I also used to have both IE & NS, but they didn't seem to like being on the same computer together, so I haven't tried that again.

I use Vrane to relist more than 5 items at one time - lot less clicking and a time saver - I start it relisting and go do the dishes - when I get back, its all done!

This problem is not confined to AOL!
I'm on RoadRunner and have IE 5.5. Whenever eBay makes changes to the selling form, I have problems for months trying to relist (or when I used to list using the selling form also). Then, for no reason, the problem usually clears up.
But I took some recent advice and downloaded Netscape 6. I was able to relist over 50 auctions with no trouble at all.

Use Netscape to relist and you will have no problems at all.

I was encountering the same problem with IE. I downloaded Netscape late last night and was able to relist a few auctions that did not want to work on IE noooooooooo problem at all.
Thanks for the great advice
