My 2 pet peeves:
When the "Review your listing" page is downloading, it gets stuck just before the "Submit" button shows up. Thursday night, just for kicks, I timed it in a couple of listings. One listing took 2-1/2 minutes, the other one took 5 minutes! The whole thing was there except for "Section 3: Submit the Listing" with the little Submit button.
How *#%$ long it takes for the categories to download when you're listing, or even revising your item. It's especially irritating when doing a revision. I almost never go into that wanting to change the category. It's usually an effort to clean up HTML. Have to sit there for 60 secs or so waiting for the categories to download.

The biggest eBay time waster for me is reading all the AW posts! I get lots of info, but I'm WAY too obsessive about it!

There are many contributing factors that cause computer slowdowns, lockups, etc., and aol cannot be blamed for all of them.
Personally I like aol, and am not computer illiterate. I can change over and use IE or netscape whenever I want, but seldom do.

I'm on AOL too, and although eBay pages do tend to "hang up" during the revision process, I have pretty quick connections otherwise.
Biggest time waster for me? I do a lot of buying in a category that is divided up into Vintage vs. Contemporary items. I cannot begin to estimate how much time I've wasted going to listings of "Victorian this" or "Vintage that" only to find it's a recently made item. Only when you read the description does the seller come clean. Sheesh!

I'm sorry, ladyfargo, it is "lady", isn't it?
Your response has ZERO to do with the title of this thread.

Thank you mud. My sentiments exactly.
My main point here is -- it's in eBay's best interest to make selling an efficient and smooth process for the sellers. There are some major time-wasters that defeat that process.
I'm not one to use bulk listing applications (I don't like my auctions ending within seconds of each other), so these glitches can be pretty aggravating sometimes.

deco -- Yeah, I've had more trouble with categories than I used to. I think the last time they re-organized, they made some serious mistakes. Still, what gets me most is long download times for the category part of the listing page.

I hate their new way of leaving feedback. I used to just click on the number in parenthasies (sp?) next to their name, copy and paste the number of the item in, and I was done in a few seconds. Now I have to wade through all of the IDs of people I haven't left feedback for in the past 90 days, keep track of their name or the number of the item they bought, and then finally post it. Doing it one at a time always worked best for me because then I remembered the person, what they bought, and what kind of feedback I wanted to leave. Now I wade through pages just trying to find the right name. Big time waster.
Oh, there's a much easier way!! Go to your seller's list (in My eBay). Click on "See Item Details" -- then you have all the auction info in front of you, and a little box on the left side of each auction that's says "Leave Feedback to Bidder"

parenthesis (singular)
parentheses (plural)
A smiley has one parenthesis in it. A parenthetical note has 2 parentheses! Tee hee
