Now I am sorry moderator if half.com post dont belong here, but it doesnt seem like there is a place you can post at all anywhere here, and since half.com is related to ebay, I figured it was OK . I just wanted a advice, I made my first sale at half.com, and when I looked at the address, he was a FPO! Now of the 4 times I had a APO or FPO win something from me at ebays, 2 of them the package never arrived to them.So I mention I dont ship to APO or FPO anymore. Plus the Post office wount even let you buy Delivery Confirmation if it is a FPO or APO address.

Now this is half.com. The buyer chose Media Mail. My post office suggest do not do media mail to APO or FPO for it will take longer than a month sometimes (so I will lose money in this transaction if I upgrade to prioirty mail as I sold the item at cost, which I guess I can't argue over). and no DC.And no tracking and insurance to FPO. And a good chance that it might get lost. So how does half.com do about if the buyer never gets the package? Am I going to lose 20 bucks? I dont want to cancel for I dont want to risk of getting a bad feedback or NAU (if they do that).

If someone can clear up half.com'sT OS about sellers responsibilty for lost package I would appricate it, thanks!

Qoting from half.com::
"... For a seller's protection in the event of disputes, we highly recommend that sellers insure and track shipments.

Insured and trackable shipping is very important to make certain that a seller is protected from loss. The use of insured shipping methods also helps protect all Half.com members from fraud. Sellers should direct buyers to return damaged items to them so that the seller may file an insurance claim with the shipping carrier. If Half.com must refund a buyer in the case of a damaged or lost package (in accordance with the Buyer Protection Policy), the amount of the sale will be deducted from the seller's account balance. ...
"

So it looks like shipments are entirely at sellers' risk.

But the problem is, you CANNOT put tracking/delivery confirmation when you mail an item to a APO or FPO, and apperently filing a insurance might not be possible. So I can't do either. What should I do?

I would have just UN-ACCEPTED the order!

One nice thing about HALF-ASSED.COM, is that you CAN do that!

APO and FPO are overseas military addresses.

Hi Tomwill, I would have liked to unaccepted the order, and by the way I can STILL cancel the order, its just that I am new at half.com and I would hate to get a 1 rating in their rather stupid feedback system.

Is there a limit on cancelling, or can you put a explanation WHY this buyer left me a bad feedback at half.com? The site is easy to put items, but rather vague in everything else.

You as a seller cannot reply to the feedback that someone leaves you.
You can cancel the order and there is a box that you can send a message to the buyer, hopefully they are understanding.
But, I would just send it anyway. I have sold a few hundred items on Half.com and only 4 times have I been contacted and told the buyer never got the package. I have only had money taken back out of my account once, that was when I cancelled an order on a book I lost.
By the way, I never insure or put DC on anything I send with half.com.

I sell quite a bit on Half and send books to APO addresses all the time. I always pay for tracking and have never had a problem. DC is available for all Media mail and Priority mail. If your PO has a problem just print out the fine print on the USPS website under Delivery Confirmation. Signature Confirmation is also available for all Media and Priority Mail.

I just sent a book to an APO address in Moscow yesterday and paid for DC.

Hope this helps!
