Customer for an item is asking to bid they are in Isarel. (It is about a $50.00 item.) I have learned from this forum there are areas to watch out selling and shipping to. Is Isarel ok??

I sold a piece of fine jewelry to a guy in Israel last year and it went very well. It took quite a while for his payment to arrive after he had sent it, through no fault of his. He sent cash. No weird restrictions on what you can ship, but if you're unsure you can go to usps.com and, under international, it gives you all the parameters.

Isreal doesn't have a notable record of credit card fraud. But sellers still should exercise some caution in order to minimize their risk.
Charges originating outside the United States are especially problematic. For example, online transactions account for just 2 percent of Visa's international business, yet those transactions account for almost 50 percent of the total number of Visa’s disputed charges and fraud.
Payments generated from Eastern European countries are particularly problematic. Security experts have documented that MOST online credit card transactions from a handful of “Problem Countries” are fraudulent. These countries include:
Romania (nearly ALL online credit card purchases from Romania are fraudulent)
Indonesia (running a close second to Romania in online credit card fraud)
Austria
Hungary
Belarus
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Slovak Republic
Ukraine
Russia
Yugoslavia
Macedonia
Sellers should assume that ANY credit card payments from these countries are probably fraudulent, and work from there to determine whether a particular payment might be the exception to the rule.
Also- be aware that there are trade restrictions that may impact shipping items from the US to:
Afghanistan
Cuba
Iran
Iraq
North Korea
Libya
Sierra Leone
Serbia
Sudan
The Treasury Dept. has more info on these sanctions.
