Hi Everybody,
I have a item that I need to ship to Canada. Somebody told me that I can't insure it through the Post office since it is going to Canada. I am going to wrap this VERY well so I am not so concerned with breakage but how can I insure that it arrived at the buyers house? My goal is not to have to charge the buyer a lot of additional $$ for registered mail.
Thanks!

You can insure it if you send it Parcel Post. It will cost more than shipping it by another unisurable method. Call 1-800-ASKUSPS or go to the website at www.usps.com

Or you can insure it using surface parcel post. Best to go to the USPS web site than rely on ignorant people.

BTW Parcel Post costs quite a bit more than letter-post, and then you add the insurance fee on top. If it's not breakable, best to save your money and ship by letter-post.
