A fellow seller got nearly 50 Old to Recent Pearl Jam Posters.
If you know the back history of Pearl Jam, then you'll understand somewhat what my friend wants to do. If not, basic nutshell; Pearl Jam thinks of it's fans more than it's profits, and actually brought Ticketmaster to the forefront over allegation sof Monopolistic-Type Practices.
He plans to auction off the posters, and give some of the proceeds back to Pearl Jam via http://www.fairtunes.com. How much he's not willing to tell me.
My concern that his "Idea" might backfire and make his auctions seem to be an obvious scam of sorts. Hence, no bids.
Should I advise him to go forward, or just keep it to himself?

JMHO, but I can see this backfiring in more than one way. If he mentions his plans for the money in his auctions, Pearl Jam may have a problem with that.
It could be seen by them as a type of infringement. They may interpret it as him using this idea to get more bids.
